fall down, get up again
It hasn't been my week. Not my month either, if I'm being honest. I've spent a lot of my time worried, distracted and in a low mood.
I'd meant to take up morning journaling, but hadn't found a routine that works for me. Aiming to do it after breakfast just meant it wasn't happening. First thing in the morning seems more promising. It also has the benefit of setting the direction and intention of my day before my mind has time to wander astray.
One habit I've been implementing digitally is a modified version of the one-in-one-out principle used by many minimalists. I'm doing one in, ten out. It quickly adds up, but makes sense given my many files. Thinking twice about what to save in today's bloated digital environment is a valuable habit, I think.
My thought/reaction patterns will need some work. They form the whole basis for the rest of my day, so it makes sense to make it my number one priority to ensure that they're as healthy as can be.
